Shawn Paschall
Over 20 Years Experience in Criminal Law.
Attorney Shawn W. Paschall is board certified in criminal law as designated by the Board of Legal Specialization backed by a track record of success, having tried over 100 jury trials with favorable results
Fewer than 8% of attorneys in Texas are board certified. To be board certified an attorney must have substantial trial experience in the field and pass a grueling day-long exam. They are vetted by their peers and judges who have witnessed them in trial. Shawn has been board certified since 2011. To maintain board certification the attorney must have annual training in the field over and above the minimum required for other attorneys.
Experience
Attorney Paschall is a former felony prosecutor in Tom Green and Tarrant counties where he served for 9 years. During this time he learned the system from the inside and gain valuable insight on what prosecutors are looking for in a case.
He also served three years as a prosecutor in the Crimes Against Children Unit which provided valuable experience. The cases he worked on include: continuous sexual abuse of a child, aggravated sexual assault of a child, sexual assault of a child, indecency with a child–These cases are very challenging because the stakes are so incredibly high. As a prosecutor, Mr. Paschall trained prosecutors, police officers and child abuse investigators how to approach these cases. Now he can help you. We defend a limited number of these cases.
Accomplishments
As a member of the Board of Directors for The Texas Criminal Defense Lawyer’s Association, Shawn had the pleasure of representing criminal lawyers in Texas. TCDLA shapes legislation, trains attorneys, and stands ready to defend our own against overzealous judges and prosecutors.
In addition, Attorney Paschall is one of only a handful of attorneys who are approved to handle capital murder defense cases in Tarrant County. Attorneys must have the experience and training necessary to defend these cases.
